Alcohol content
Percentage of alcohol - measured in Gay Lussac degrees - in a wine. It is measured according to the amount of alcohol in 100l of wine. Therefore, an 11% alc. vol. wine has 11l of pure alcohol in 100l of wine. It is mentioned on the label as "11% alc. vol.". The potential alcohol content is a must's probable amount of alcohol before sugar fermentation.
