Wet
Said of a watery wine.
 
Wet cardboard
More or less unpleasant aroma wine may get if it is in contact with filter paper or cardboard boxes. It is sometimes due to glasses that were dried with paper towels.
 
White
Term used to define the colour of white wines' foam, which is also found in some old red wines.
 
White Merlot
White variety that is productive but sensitive to rot. It produces ordinary wines, not appropriate for storing. It is mostly grown in Gironda, Cubzagais (associated with Colombard) and, in lesser amount, in Entre-deux-Mers. It is also found in the Cognac region.
 
White thorn
Very delicate aldehydic, floral aroma resembling this white flower rosette that grows on a thorny bush. When it appears in red wines, it usually blends with violet, blackberry and raspberry.
 
White wheat
Pleasant or unpleasant aldehydic smell resembling the grain or flour of the homonymous cereal.

White wine made from white grapes.
 
White, Royal, Black Maiden
Very aromatic white variety grown in Romania, Hungary (where it is called Leanyka) and Bulgaria. It produces excellent, pleasant and fragrant wines that seem to be related to Moscatel (peach, apricot). There is a red mutation (Feteasca Neagra) that produces inferior quality wines.
 
Wild
Qualifier usually used for little evolved wines, but that are still thought to evolve.
 
Wild (o mesmo termo que para “selvagem”)
Type of fruit (blackberry, raspberry) whose aromas and flavours are frequently found in wines.
