| Characteristics |
5 BB is a medium vigour rootstock characterised by a great vegetative development in the first years of grafting.
It is a good producer of wood and its response to rooting is also good.
Hand and local grafting don’t always show good results, since their scions have numerous roots.
5 BB is resistant to up to 20% active limestone.
This rootstock bears drought and tolerates moisture, therefore adapting well to soils that are acid, clay-limestone, moist and compact. |
