| Characteristics |
110 R is a very vigorous rootstock that favours fructification of the grafted grape varieties. However, in very fertile soils it can delay the ripening process.
The response to rooting is usually low due to faulty lignification.
Concerning local grafting, results are good; however, hand grafting is often problematic due to lack of rooting.
110 R is resistant to up to 17% active limestone.
It has no resistance to salt and its resistance to the Meloidogynae type of nematodes is insufficient. Besides, it is considered to be sensitive to moisture and to the gall form of phylloxera.
This rootstock adapts well to poor and dry soils. |
