Description |
Medium quality white grape variety, authorised in the Lima sub-region, with a culture area confined to Ponte da Barca and with little representativeness. Little productive, it produces neutral and unbalanced wines.
Synonymy: also known as «Lameira», «Branco Lameiro», «Lameirinho», «Branco da Lama», «Luzidio» and «Molarinho», its probably the «Branco da Lama» of the Spanish Province Galicia.

Budding |
open, cottony, white and with the margins slightly carmine.

Young leaf |
yellow with bronze spots, cottony on the down side, main veins slightly bristly and pubescent on the upper side of the blade.

androgynous.

Shoots |
internodes and nodes with red striations on the back side and green on the frontal side; green buds; erect to half-erect growth.

Tendrils |
discontinuous, long, webbed, separate and straight.

Adult leaf |
medium size, wedge-shaped, with five, sometimes seven lobes, medium green, irregular outline and slightly bubbly; medium length teeth and convex margins; petiolar sinus with the lobes slightly overlapped and with a V shaped base, frequently with a tooth over the margin; upper lateral sinus with the lobes slightly overlapped and a U shaped base; carmine petiolar point as well as the beginning of the main veins on both sides; cottony and bristly on the down side, glabrous petiole, shorter than the medium main vein.

medium size; conic and winged; medium compactness; medium length peduncle and medium lignification.

medium size and uniform, elliptic-short; yellow green colour; with little bloom; thin skin with visible seeds, and apparent hilum; soft, juicy pulp with a simple flavour, medium long pedicel of easy separation.

little hard tegument, predominantly two per berry; medium size, pyriform, short and little pronounced beak.

elliptic cross-section, striated surface, brown reddish colour; little vigorous; fusiform and straight; medium long internodes, big, large, sharp and prominent buds.
