| Characteristics |
1103 P is very vigorous. As its development is precocious, it is sometimes possible to graft it in the same year it is planted.
It has a better response to rooting than 110 R and 140 Ru.
This rootstock shows good results in local and hand grafting.
It bears, in average, up to 17/18% active limestone and has some tolerance to salinity.
1103 P is sensitive to the gall form of phylloxera, but resistant to the Meloidogynae type of nematodes.
It adapts well to acid soils and is very resistant to drought. |
